MM Powrie is a Toronto-based filmmaker and digital media creator. Her award-winning experimental short doc MARATHON WOMEN had its world premiere at the Hot Docs International Documentary Film Festival in 2007.

Mary Margaret aka @haikugirlmm founded Haikugirl Media Inc. in 2012 to create compelling film projects and digital media. A true cinéaste, MM has attended TIFF since 1995 and Hot Docs since 2007.

 

MM is currently directing and producing DOCSAM DOC, a short film about her physician / researcher father who hosted a TV show in Winnipeg in the 1990s on ‘Health and Longevity’ where he shared his best advice for successful aging.​​​
